Assalamualaikum...

 Have you ever think about why does everytime a baby was born, they just cried. The doctor or 'bidan' in-charge will always make sure that the newborn baby cry. It's a worldwide encounter to be exact. If the newborn baby does not cry, they will eventually slap the baby's buttock to make sure it cried out loud.  See, a newborn baby must cry !

During my Biology lesson when I was Form 5, an Indonesian guy (he had a trip to my school) took the chance to ask my Biology teacher about this topic. My teacher just laughed and asked "What do you expect the babies will do when they first see the world ?". Well the curios guy replied "Why does the baby didn't LAUGH ? Why must they CRY ?". 

Well, everyone laughed at him but still what he did ask was not wrong. There aren't any research on why does a baby cry but not laugh when they were born. In theory, a baby cried when they was born because it was the 1st time ever he/she is using the lungs. You see, inside our mother's womb, oxygen and food were continuously supplied by our beloved mother through blood. So,  by crying out loud during the 1st usage of lung, the lung will function properly. By means, the lung will pump up frequently because we are crying. 

Thus, laughing will also caused the same effect. Ok, lets see. Ever experienced continues laughing and in a short while, for sure, you are out of breath. It's kind of the same thing on crying right ?
